JOE
Joe is three years old and has a rare condition called Coffin-Siris syndrome, which affects several body systems physically, as well as on a developmental level. Joe is non-verbal.
Joeโs mum wrote to the charity about his dream to go to CBeebies Land & Splash Landings at Alton Towers:
โJoe adores water. He is happiest when heโs in it. He also loves CBeebies & little train rides. Joe has such limited things he enjoys, this would be amazing to have all in one place. He will be so excited and happyโ!
JAMES
James is 21 years old and lives in Cambridge. He has been very unwell battling Hodgkins lymphoma. Here is what James wrote to the charity: โMe and my uncles are big fans of Liverpool but weโve never been able to afford tickets to go see a match, let alone a tour of their football ground. Itโd be nice to enjoy a one-off experience, especially after everything thatโs happened. A break from it all would be nice. It would be amazing to spend the weekend in Liverpool and enjoy a night out with some familyโ. Jamesโ social worker told the team at Dreams Come True that James has never left the county he lives in so this would be a big adventure for him.
AMBER
Amber is 12 years old and lives in Cheshire. She has a genetic condition called Fragile X syndrome which causes developmental problems including learning disabilities and cognitive impairment. Amber has always dreamed of going to Winter Wonderland at Center Parcs to enjoy all the fun activities including fireworks displays and meeting Santa and his reindeer.
LILY-CLARE
Lily-Clare, aged 10, has multiple respiratory conditions as well as a permanent collapsed lung & scoliosis. Lily-Clare is a keen horse rider and wrote to our charity partner about her dream.
โMy dream is to ride a race horse, in front of a crowd, around a race track. Not during a race, or me racing in a race. Just by myself on a race horseโ.
NAOMI
For our current challenge, we have made it our aim to fulfil Naomiโs dream, who lives locally to our HQ. She was diagnosed with leukaemia at the end of 2014 and had undergone intensive treatment including a stem cell transplant. This required long periods of hospitalisation which Naomi coped with amazingly well with courage and determination.
โIโve always dreamed of going to Hawaii, ever since I was little. Mum used to tell me stories about her visit to Hawaii & how spectacular it was. Iโd like to bring my little brother Oscar because he bravely donated his bone marrow to me to save my life. If I go to Hawaii Iโd: Go to the observatory on Mauna Loa & see the stars, swim with dolphins, walk on top of the volcano, visit the beautiful Island of Kauai & even try to learn traditional Hawaiian dancingโ. Naomi needed ยฃ3,500 to realise this Dream and we are grateful to all those who donated and helped us to achieve that target! Really wonderful effort.
