NAOMI
For our current challenge, we have made it our aim to fulfil Naomi’s dream, who lives locally to our HQ. She was diagnosed with leukaemia at the end of 2014 and had undergone intensive treatment including a stem cell transplant. This required long periods of hospitalisation which Naomi coped with amazingly well with courage and determination.
“I’ve always dreamed of going to Hawaii, ever since I was little. Mum used to tell me stories about her visit to Hawaii & how spectacular it was. I’d like to bring my little brother Oscar because he bravely donated his bone marrow to me to save my life. If I go to Hawaii I’d: Go to the observatory on Mauna Loa & see the stars, swim with dolphins, walk on top of the volcano, visit the beautiful Island of Kauai & even try to learn traditional Hawaiian dancing”.
Naomi needed £3,500 to realise this Dream and we are grateful to all those who donated and helped us to achieve that target! Really wonderful effort.
